October 2017 | Condat giving lecture at #DKT17

The fact that artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the most important topics of this century is irreversibly documented with each new day. The world is working on intelligent software systems that transfer human knowledge skills to digital assistants and their use in ever-increasing areas of life.

As part of the symposium “# DKT17 – Curating in the Age of AI”, which will take place on October 12, 2017 at the Humboldt University in Berlin, an alliance of Berlin based researchers and entrepreneurs will highlight the contribution of AI to journalism and other areas of knowledge management.

The Alliance can look back on years of extensive preparatory work and results from the Innovation Forum “Semantic Media Web” projects promoted by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research since 2012, the WK-P “Digital Curating Technologies”, the InnoProfile projects “Corporate Semantic Web” and “Corporate Build Smart Content “.

As part of the symposium, Alliance members will demonstrate how far they have come to develop semiautomatic processes for the efficient processing, creation and distribution of high-quality media content. In addition, they present their further visions and goals while not deviating from ethical issues as well as the topic of fake news.

The focus is on:

  • Industry technologies
  • Curation technologies
  • User interfaces for knowledge workers
  • Language and knowledge technologies

Among the speakers is Radoslaw Oldakowski, Software Architect at Condat, giving a lecture on enrichment and recommendation of media content based on Linked Data.
